Whenever someone picks up a guitar, there’s a good chance they’ll already know (or want to learn) how to play an Oasis song…Wonderwall, Live Forever, whatever. I’m sure those songs rank high on Steve’s Music’s list of “songs people play when they’re testing out guitars”.
There’s the scene in season 2 (I think?) of Lost where Charlie is busking on the London streets singing an Oasis song, nevermind the fact that any party I’ve been to where there’s an acoustic guitar, someone busts out an Oasis song.
Now Oasis have taken it a step further - they took to the streets of New York and taught various buskers how to play songs from their newest album Dig Out Your Soul. The result is an 18 minute documentary directed by The Malloys that showcases the talents of saxophone players, jazz lounge singers and more. Watch the lot on the band’s MySpace page.
