Okkervil River ‘Golden Oppurtunities 2′ (Mixtape)

2011 has seen a surge of mixtapes, especially in the hip hop community. But back in 2007, Austin’s Okkervil River released Golden Oppurtunities, a nine-track mixtape made up of covers and one original called, “Listening to Otis Redding at Home During Christmas.” Today, the six-piece band released a follow-up mixtape, Golden Oppurtunities 2, which you can download for free over at their website. It includes five covers of lesser-known artists like, Ted Lucas, Jim Sullivan, David McComb, and Bill Fay.
