On our drive down to Ottawa we passed this new casino. In the 5 seconds it took to drive passed it, we experienced the following range of emotions:

- Confusion. Shock. Surprise. : “Ohmygod – what’s that?!”
- Excitement. Elation: “Pretty lights, gambling – a casino! Let’s go!”
- Laziness. Apathy: “Oh s***, we’ll have to turn around somewhere…ah who cares. Maybe another time? Nah, forget that junk.”

It’s always fun to go back to Ottawa for a few days. It’s great to catch up with old pals and hang out with the folks. Except after a day or two we were all sniping at our parents like we were 12 yrs old again. “Why can’t I have the air-conditioning running at high 24 hours a day? I do it at home in my apartment?!” Stomp, stomp, stomp.

By the third day, we were itching to leave again and truly enjoyed (grr) the bumper-to-bumper traffic all the way back to Toronto.

Best bickering between us 3 girls on this trip?
“Gwyneth Paltrow is so young.”
“No she’s not.”
“Yes she is.”
“No she’s not.”
“Well she’s younger than me.”
“No she’s not.”

Ahhhhh. We’ve got to come up with some better road trip games to amuse ourselves. Ry, you know any?
