One Direction announced as music act for SNL

During this weekends performance of Saturday Night Live, the long running sketch show announced that British boy banders One Direction will be making their SNL debut at 30 Rockefellar on April 7. The five lads will be joined by first-time host and Modern Family star Sofia Vergara.

No word yet on whether the boisterous boys of One Direction will make an appearance in any of the evening’s skits, but judging by their affinity for role playing and practical jokes as seen in the numerous videos the band posts on their YouTube channel, it wouldn’t be the worst idea. Really, they could show up and sing one note and thousands of girls will lose their shizz.
