One Direction is feeling the heat from the video scandal.
Some fans are not too pleased with One Direction over members Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik’s pot smoking video that hit the internet this week. Directioners are selling their tickets for One Direction’s Where We Are concert in London for half price. Other fans have taken to destroying their tickets in protest of the boys’ behaviour.
There even seems to be trouble within the band. The Sun is reporting the One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles is really upset over the video. Sources say that Harry even flies in a separate jet because he wants to avoid the other boys and their bad habits.
The video shows Louis and Zayn in a car after a show in Peru. Although Louis can’t be seen, his voice is heard and it is assumed he is filming the incident. “I want to light up,” Louis says and so they do. The five minute video basically shows the two boys smoking an illegal substance.
The band has not issued an apology for the video but did release a statement. “The matter is in the hands of our lawyers,” a rep from the band said. Since the video was private the band is trying to find who could have leaked it online.
Could this be the beginning of the downfall of the One Direction empire? The boys are trying to move past the video and continue their tour, which plans to stop in North America in August. One Direction is also nominated for a MMVA. Don’t forget to watch the 2014 MMVAs on Sunday, June 15 at 9E/6P on Much, CTV and CTV GO to see if One Direction win.Tweet
