Beyonce did it for Crazy In Love. Backstreets Boys did it for Quit Playing Games With My Heart. Hedley did it for Invincible. And now One Direction can cross the necessary ‘wet’ music video off their list.
The boy banders have released their first music video for their sophomore album Take Me Home and use a summer campsite as the setting for their video Live While We’re Young. Part Monkees, part Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City’s Good Time, One Direction let their carefree personalities shine through in the fun video that will be more than acceptable to the band’s legions of Directioners.
Niall Horan appears shirtless in much of the video, with the rest of the band swimming in their clothes and singing along to the new track with inflatable props. The video was reportedly shot in England, and gives off the same European summer feel as the group’s debut video, What Makes You Beautiful.
Tune into New.Music.Live. tonight to watch the broadcast premiere of Live While We’re Young. Take Me Home hits shelves on November 12.
