Those English lads in One Direction sure are cheeky buggers when it comes to album titles. Their debut disc, Up All Night, turned millions of teens into screaming Directioners at the mere mention of the album’s name with a resounding desire to indeed stay ‘up all night’ with the five members of the boy band. With today’s announcement from One Direction member Louis Tomlinson that the band’s sophomore album will be called Take Me Home, 1D can prepare themselves for a worldwide tour that includes constant offers of indeed, taking them home.
Tweeting to his 5.5 million Twitter followers today, One Direction’s Tomlinson wrote “So pleased to tell you that our new album is called “take me home” can’t wait for you to hear it! More news soooon! #takemehome”, instantly making ‘Take Me Home’ a worldwide trending topic.
The band’s first single off the album, Live While We’re Young, has become the fastest selling pre-ordered digital song in history. Don’t mess with Directioners, y’all.
You can watch One Direction along with Rihanna, Frank Ocean, Taylor Swift, Pink, Green Day, and Alicia Keys perform at the 2012 MTV VMAs on Thursday, September 6 at 8 pm ET on MUCH.
