We’re just about to leave for the second day of the Pemberton Festival - today’s lineup is sure to please the alt-country/jam band/classic rock contingency of the crowd - you’ve got My Morning Jacket, Black Mountain, The Tragically Hip, Sam Roberts, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Oh, and The Flaming Lips, who always earn themselves new fans at every show thanks to their passion and quirky performance tricks.
But today the main draw for me at least is the Bacardi B-Live tent, where I plan to spend most of my evening. There’ll be sets from M.A.N.D.Y., a German electro-house DJ duo who formed Get Physical Records along with Booka Shade, who put on a phenomenal performance last night, as well as MSTRKRFT, which consists of Jesse Keeler, the better half of the now-defunct Death From Above 1979, and Al-P. I listen to their set from Pukkelpop 2006 at least once a week, and I can’t WAIT to see them tonight!!
Stay tuned for more coverage throughout the weekend!
