Pemberton Festival: Day 3 Here We Come!

It’s finally here - the final day of Pemberton Festival. The motherlode. It’s going to be EPIC. Basically a nonstop barrage of quality bands starting at 1:20pm with buzz band The Airborne Toxic Event and ending 12 hours later at 1am (but probably later, given the one hour delay that’s been happening all weekend in the Bacardi tent) with a monster DJ set from The Crystal Method. Wendy and I are going to power through this long day and try to cover every last minute of it.
I’m looking forward to sets by Vampire Weekend, Wintersleep, Death Cab For Cutie Matisyahu, Jay-Z, DJ Shadow, and of course, festival firecrackers Coldplay.
By now everyone at the festival is positively FILTHY. The dust situation has progressed well past the usual ‘dirt tan’ that comes with outdoor festivals - people are literally caked in dirt (and later today it’ll be mud!). Today’s crowd is expected to be bigger than the last two days combined - so it’ll be quite a feat getting home in a reasonable amount of time when the rest of the unwashed masses make their way off the festival grounds at the end of the night.
