Czech that sexy mountain action!
By this point Death Cab For Cutie are pretty much veterans of the festival circuit. . They’ve done a fine job headlining their own festival in the past (earlier this summer at Toronto’s Olympic Island) and they’ve been part of countless other weekend lineups. So it came as no surprise that they were able to wow the crowd on the main stage earlier today. Singer Ben Gibbard made numerous comments about Pemberton’s beautiful landscapes and how awesome the view was from the stage. The band churned out the usual suspects (the set was pretty much identical to Olympic Island’s setlist): Title And Registration, the nearly nine-minute version of I Will Possess Your Heart, Movie Script Ending and finishing, as always, with Transatlanticism. Guys, please consider playing some of MY favourites (Coney Island, Tiny Vessels or The Ice Is Getting Thinner), OK? Thanks.
Setlist:
Bixby Canyon Bridge
The New Year
Why You’d Want To Live Here
Crooked Teeth
Long Division
Title And Registration
I Will Possess Your Heart
Cath
Soul Meets Body
Sound of Settling
Transatlanticism
Oh, and peep cutie Chris Walla’s sharp outfit below. *sigh*
