Vampire Weekend are a swell bunch of dudes. I saw their set at the Rogers Picnic in Toronto last weekend and they were in similarly fine form for an early afternoon set on the Mount Currie stage at Pemberton. Although singer Ezra Koenig wasn’t wearing swimming trunks this time ’round - instead he was sporting an eighties jean jacket with “Whistler ‘89″ embroidered on the lapel. Classy. The guys delivered an energy-laden set of songs from their self-titled debut, including A-Punk and of course, Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa.
