Two days ago, singing group Pentatonix (made up of musicians from NBC’s The Sing-Off) posted an a capella cover of Lorde’s hit single, Royals. Since then, they’ve already amassed over 3.5 million views on YouTube and many have gone as far as calling this version of the song better than the original.
We gave it a spin today and, okay, it’s pretty friggin’ great. But is it better than Lorde’s rendition? That’s definitely up for debate. Watch Pentatonix’s cover of Lorde’s Royals below and skip over for more covers we think are arguably better than its original.
