Perfume Genius “Hood” (Video)

Bedroom singer-songwriter/producer Perfume Genius (aka Mike Hadreas) has unveiled the first video from his forthcoming album, Put Your Back N 2 It (out February 21st via Matador). In “Hood,” he shares some tender moments with the muscularly gay porn star Arpad Miklos.

Hadreas spoke to Pitchfork about the video, saying, “The song’s about how if someone knew you 100%, they would go away. So, in the video, I didn’t acknowledge him until I was fully done-up in all my gear and my wig. That’s how I feel in general. That freaky shit underneath– that’s kind of who I am, really.”
