The theme goes “got a secret, can you keep it?” but let me tell you this episode does nothing but reveal, expose and disclose!

Its “Welcome Back Hanna Day” in Rosewood as everyone wants to get in on her miraculous recovery (or if you’re “A”, getting in on Hanna’s “damn-you-survived?” party!).

But loads of secrets are revealed before anyone can yell out surprise!

Secret #1: Ezra finds out it’s Noel who discovered him and Aria (but a lot of good that does him….)

Aria finally tells Ezra its Noel who discovered them (like, why didn’t you tell him earlier if you wanted to be careful about your relationship?). She says she’s got it all under control but Noel pays Ezra a visit and demands a better grade on his paper. Ezra “actually has the nerve to” get mad and lets Aria know exactly how her “handling” is going.

Noel comes clean about the paper thing with Aria so I’m thinking he’s not really “A”. Yes, he’s making Ezra out to be a bad guy, but he’s not denying any of his actions to Aria. And really…would you pursue a relationship with your teacher? I understand a one-time “wham-bam thank you ma’am”…but a relationship? Really?

Ezra’s “handling” of the situation is no better as he holds onto Aria…in front of another student. Good thing that student is blind Jenna….or is she?

Secret #2: Mrs. Fields does not want to bake cookies for Maya!

Dinner at the Fields ft. Maya is all good in the hood – on the surface. Daddy likes her, Emily really, really likes her, and Maya likes the Fields family too. But Mrs. Fields has a different idea on what a couple should be and breaks down in tears by herself as her daughter plays footsies with Maya.

When Emily asks her mom’s opinion on Maya her mom is pretty hurtful (but honest!). Mrs. Fields is not okay with them. She thinks it’s wrong.

Kudos to Pretty Little Liars for not sugar coating this reaction and having every gay kid’s fear come true on screen!

Secret #3: Trading Carbs for Dollars…..

Hanna finds her mom’s stolen money the minute she comes home from the hospital – in an old lasagna box in their kitchen (nice place Ms. Marin). And I don’t care how many times she says it – stealing does not translate as a bank loan. But these problems are short-lived…

“A” was definitely at Hanna’s party that evening. When Hanna checks on the money after everyone leaves – it’s gone. But she does find a little of it. A note finds its way into Hanna’s painkillers. “A” stole Ms. Marin’s already stolen money. “A” now has the perfect way to blackmail Hanna into doing whatever “A” wants or else her mother goes to jail.

Damn! “A”s really good at this.

Secret #4: Who trashed Alison’s Memorial?

During the party we find out Lukas wrecked Alison’s memorial. He only did it out of an angry grudge – not a murderous tendency. So at least that mystery’s closed.

We also learn Alison broke up Noel and his girlfriend a while ago out of boredom (although she claims it was for Aria). So Noel has a reason to hold a grudge against Alison….

And if mousy little Lukas destroyed Alison’s memorial because of a grudge, what could bigger, stronger Noel be capable of?

Secret #5: Alison’s secret summer getaway vacation!

New brother-in-law Ian is all set to move into Spencer’s house. All his luggage is filling up their living room. Naturally Spencer takes a peek. But she discovers Ian went to the same summer resort Alison went to summer before she disappeared. Alison denied any questions Spencer had about the resort at the time….and now Spencer is starting to understand why.

Secret #6: Jenna and Toby Are Not Happily Ever After…

Finally, we also learn that Jenna and Toby’s little twisted love-affair (remember, they’re step-siblings) may have been one-sided. Jenna ratted out Toby to the cops so that he could stop running and actually fight to clear his name. Something Jenna thought Toby would be passionately grateful for. He’s not.

In other news, Spencer finally found a guy (remember country club kitchen boy Alex?) who didn’t date sister Melissa first. But “A” makes Spencer’s happiness disappear in a split second. Alex makes the decision he doesn’t want to attend some European college even though he got a scholarship, a choice Spencer can’t understand. And so “A” discovers this and enrolls him anyway. But Alex thinks Spencer overstepped her grounds and gets into a fight. Naturally “A” sends her a text to gloat once Spencer’s left to pick up the pieces.
