PLL Episode 4: We’ll Always Need Alison

Hanna gets a visit from beyond the grave, Aria might just dye her hair pink again and Emily digs herself an even bigger hole of lies.

Plus, Melissa FINDS Ian! But was it what we expected?

Emily is Rosewood’s newest headliner (take that Alison!) as she’s beating her best times and her swimming competition. Too bad she can’t enjoy it since “A” continually taunts her fam with Danby gear.

Right off the bat: I love Samara! She sets everyone right (well, temporarily) by explaining Emily’s hesitation to get more into Danby by saying there’s a lot of other school’s out there who will probably offer Emily a scholarship, so they should keep it cool until all the offers have come in.

Now that’s what a BF/GF is supposed to do. Plus they get more kissy-time too!

Besides the fact Ms. Montgomery has taken Ezra’s old job, Aria discovers another shocker. Her brother is hiding something from the fam. He’s not playing basketball after school like we think he is.

But you know who is playing ball?

Jason DiLaurentis. Playing all shirtless and sexy in front of Aria (like that ball really got that far away from him to land on her pretty shoes).

And the flirting starts. Jason likes her pink hair and her originality. Aria likes his six-pack. Who wouldn’t?

But should Aria hook-up with somebody already so close to Alison’s murder?

I think she will.

Hanna is still playing the role of a chubby child with a sack of arrows…only this time she’s brought Caleb along for the ride.

Lucas fears he’s going to bomb his date so he asks Hanna to tag along. But when Lucas’ date thinks Hanna’s still got the hots for him, Hanna cuddles up to Caleb so Lucas can get the girl.

Awww….Hanna you rock!

After that, she rushes over to the shrink’s office asap. Why? She’s finally able to put Alison behind her. After Lucas thanked her for doing something totally unselfish with nothing in it for her, Hanna finally broke free of Alison’s hold.

She imagines a conversation with Alison and tells her off. She’s done being sad she’s dead. She may have been her friend once, but she was also her worst enemy.

Alison’s vision reminds she’ll always need her. All the girls will. Creepy!

But as soon as their session is over, shrink’s office is completely ransacked with a very direct message, “Nosey Bitches Die”.

Spencer may have lost Melissa’s wedding ring to “A”, but she does manage to find Ian through Wren. Wren’s been helping his jilted finance because he’s guilty he jilted her, and is supplying her with drugs for Ian.

Wren tries to make more amends (boy, is he ever trying to make up for making out with Spence) by helping Spencer find Ian. He demands he see Ian with his own eyes so he can treat him and Melissa agrees.

The fab four are hot on their trail after a tip-off from Wren…but they don’t get what they expected.

Running into an abandoned farm in the woods…they find Ian slumped over with a gun in his hand, a suicide note admitting he killed Alison and a bullet hole through his head.

Did he do it? Was this a set up? I think it was because “A” was also on the scene!

While the girls were all gaping in horror at Ian’s body…someone slipped a little red phone into one of our pretty little liars’ bags…

Got a secret, can you keep it? Swear this one you’ll save. Better lock it, in your pocket, taking this one to the grave. If I show you then I know you won’t tell what I said. Cause two can keep a secret, if one of them is dead…
