Polaris Awards 2010: Catch ‘em Sept. 25 on Much

May 5th, 2010

Polaris in the T.Dot Sept. 25

The hardware given for artistic merit - not genres or record sales, the Polaris Awards will celebrate its 5th anniversary rocking out the Masonic Temple in Toronto in September.

A list of 40 contenders will be out on June 17, with the final ten nominees announced July 6 at live events at Toronto’s Drake Hotel. All ten nominees are expected to perform at the awards.

A group of music journalists, broadcasters and music bloggers will reveal the winner at the awards show, and you can catch that on Much, September 25 at 9pm ET.

The Polaris Awards gives $20 grand to the artist who wins Canadian Album of the Year. Past winners include Final Fantasy for He Poos Clouds (2006), Patrick Watson for Close To Paradise (2007), Caribou for Andorra (2008) and F**ked Up for The Chemistry of Common Life last year.
