Polaris Music Spotlight: Colin Stetson

With only a few days days left until one of the coolest award ceremonies graces our site with its awesomeness, Polaris is giving you fine people a sampler of the ten amazingly-rad musicians on the Polaris 2011 Short List (stream all the albums here)! Today we shine the spotlight on Colin Stetson!

Who: Colin Stetson is an American jazz musician based out of Montreal, Quebec who plays clarinet, bass clarinet, french horn, flute, and cornet. In addition to touring with Arcade Fire, Stetson has played with Bon Iver, The National, Feist, LCD Soundsystem and Tom Waits. Specializing in the bass saxophone, New History Warfare Vol. 2: Judges is a follow up to the 2008 album New History Warfare Vol. 1.
