Omg.

One of my favourite books, Battle Royale, which is also a Japanese movie and which I also own (but the book is better!) - well, it looks like we might see an Americanized version of the gory story.

New Line Cinema has purchased the remake rights, and I’m not quite sure what I think about it right now. In some ways I’m curious to see what they’ll do with it and in other ways I’m like, “chill with the remakes!” But even if it comes out and it sucks, I’ll still watch it. You know, for kicks and giggles.

Oh, and if you don’t know, Battle Royale is about a 9th grade class who, as part of a government program, are put on an island and told to kill each other until one student remains. I’m not a macabre person, I swear. Have a nice day!
