Kanye West and Jay-Z told us to watch the throne, as they represented the richest of the rich. Public Enemy are back with their trademark brand of politically conscious hip-hop, and they’re asking asking who is going to “Catch The Thrown?” Whose going to pick up the 99% when they are down? There has always been a tension in rap between representing real ghetto life and celebrating financial success, and Public Enemy is reminding everyone to think about it.
