The 2013 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction nominees were announced this week and for hip-hop fans, there were two very noticeable inclusions. Political rap pioneers Public Enemy and gangsta rap originators N.W.A. joined the hefty ranks of Rush, Chic, Donna Summer, Deep Purple and Kraftwerk, who have been sampled by everyone from Jay-z to Missy Elliott to 2 Live Crew.
