Kisses 4 CANFAR is back this year and you can help raise awareness for HIV and AIDS now!
Every 12 seconds someone in the world is infected with HIV, and in Canada, students are demanding to learn more about it in school. In 2007, a Toronto Teen Survey reported that 78% of teens learned about HIV and AIDS in school, but continue to ask for more information about it in their classrooms. This is where the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR) comes in, helping provide schools and Canadians in general with the resources and tools we need to learn more and get involved in help with awareness and funding.
With Valentine’s Day coming up, you can help kiss HIV and AIDS goodbye this year by simply sporting some red lips. From February 1-15, CANFAR is asking Canadians to wear red lipstick in support of Kisses 4 CANFAR. Red lipstick, lipstick print clothes, kiss pins or even kiss tattoos — anything that shows off some smooches counts!
Share your red lipstick looks and kiss-related pics on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Vine) by using the hashtag #Kisses4CANFAR and/or tag them on Instagram (@kisses4canfar) and Twitter (@CANFAR) between now and February 15. Make sure to also like them on Facebook now.
Even our VJs Scott and Liz are taking part in #Kisses4CANFAR so share your best pics now!
