Pussycat Dolls “not breaking up, just on a break”

“Right now the Pussycat Dolls are on a break.” Those are the words of member Melody Thornton.

The Doll recently spoke to MTV, confirming that the group are going on hiatus but didn’t exactly give a reason why – though we’re all pretty sure it’s to allow Nicole Scherzinger to finally release that solo album of hers.

Thornton did go on to say that “It’s actually a much-needed break. It’s like when you’re with your sisters for 24 hours a day and you need to take your own shower.”

Uh huh.

She did deny they’re breaking up though, something Doll creator Robin Antin confirmed to us recently.

“The only person that could ever tell you that the Pussycat Dolls are breaking up is me, because I own the Pussycat Dolls,” Antin said. “So if the Pussycat Dolls are breaking up, I will tell you that, and if anyone else tells you that, just don’t believe it.”

Antin did more damage control, admitting that while the members do have their differences, they will stick together.

“I would never lie and say, ‘Oh everything’s perfect.’ But I mean really in the end they all love each other, they’ve supported each other, they care about each other, and they’ve really had each other’s backs.

Antin says more about the Pussycat Dolls rumoured break-up on MuchNews Weekly this coming Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET.

  2. OMG!! That would totally suck if PCD broke up! I love them. They are such talented women and such an inspirtation to many other young women out there. I’m fine with them taking a break, but not breaking up.
