Jennifer Aniston and Hugh Grant better clear their phone line because Quentin Tarantino may come calling. The director known for his violent, suspenseful films says he wants to change the romantic comedy game. “I’d love to make a romantic comedy and take it out of the ghetto it’s been exiled to,” he said to Film.com.
Although his movies have featured love stories, take Bruce Willis and Marie De Medeiros in Pulp Fiction, it would be a stretch to call any of them romantic. But, of course, he has his own take on romance. “True Romance’s title was not ironic. Sure, James Gandolfini almost beats Patricia Arquette to death and she has to blow him away with a shotgun but that doesn’t mean it’s not romantic. It just has to be done my way and I think people want me to do it my way.”
