Lil Twist catches up with Rap-Up to let them know why his collaboration with Wayne was cut from Tha Carter IV and his plans for his album. Apparently “Flowers” wasn’t finished in time for Tha Carter IV because Wayne didn’t finish his verse on it. Maybe we’ll see the song on Twist’s album, which he tells Rap-Up, is due out before the end of the year. He also has collaborations with Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Drake, and he hinted at Chris Brown. Watch the interview here.
T.I. will be released from prison tomorrow. However, after being released almost a month early, T.I. will report to a halfway house to finish up his sentence. The original charges for drug possession were dropped but T.I. was still sent to prison for violating his probation. Read more at Rap Radar.
Rick Ross is being sued again over copyright infringement. Last time he was being sued it was over the name Ricky “Freeway” Ross, this time it’s over the use of Teflon Don. The real Teflon Don says, “it is almost belittling to me because the music he [Rick Ross] puts out is almost demeaning and the music that I put out is more positive. We have two different crowds and it is making me lose clientele based on the fact that they think that I am a negative rapper.” Seems pretty reasonable… Read more at HipHopDX.
Once again Kreayshawn doesn’t make a lot of sense while talking to the media. After Rick Ross and Kreayshawn’s crews got into a minor altercation backstage at the MTV VMAs over their current feud, Kreayshawn tells Billboard it’s “gang violence”. Well, we’re not sure if that’s true but apparently she confused a party popper with a gunshot to the back courtesy of Rick Ross. So yeah, she’s obviously more familiar with gang violence than us. Watch the interview at Billboard.
Lil Wayne’s ‘Tha Carter IV’ is projected to debut at No.1 this week with upwards of 700,000 units sold. This would mean that he will sell more than Jay-Z and Kanye’s ‘Watch The Throne’ but a couple hundred thousand under Lady Gaga. Those are huge numbers, Mack Maine just talked to XXL about how the first weeks sales don’t matter to them. Read more at Billboard.
