Kansas City’s Tech N9ne has announced a new collaborative album designed to showcase his label, Strange Music. Titled Welcome to Strangeland, the album is the fourth installment in his collabos series. This one will feature artists such as Brother Lynch Hung, Young Bleed, Stevie Stone, Mayday, Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun and The 816 Boys. About the comp, he told AllHipHop, “Most artists, they’ll invite another rapper to guest on their track, but then have that rapper record their part first to make sure they don’t get shown up. Not me. I’m a Technician. I’m fully confident in my ability and my delivery,” the rapper continued. “I’ll always record my part first so that anyone I’m collaborating with understands where I’m coming from and the level of quality I represent. That’s why I’m always completely behind these Collabos releases. Seeing how the artists on Welcome To Strangeland are all artists fit to be members of the Strange Music roster, this is the strongest, Strangest Collabo release yet.” (Via AllHipHop)
50 Cent is being sued over an assault that took place at his mansion three years ago. The kicker is that he wasn’t even home at the time. Fiddy’s employee Dwayne McKenzie allegedly attacked a 22-year-old woman and was charged with assault, strangulation, breach of peace and unlawful restraint. The plaintiff, Vasti Ortiz, is suing 50 because she feels “he knew or should have known McKenzie was a known criminal who had assaulted in the past.” (Via HipHopDX)
Yesterday we reported that Fabolous and Ray J got into a dust up in Vegas over the weekend. Now, the rapper is denying that he and Brandy’s brother were involved in a physical altercation. Calling in to DJ Clue’s Power 105 evening show, Fab said, “It was no fight, it was no swing. This whole story that he made up, that Tupac rant about him swinging on somebody and all of that s–t is all lies. Its all, high on coke, on that Whitney. That’s all on that Whitney last night. Ain’t no swings take place. You can ask the Money Team. The Money Team was standing right there. Ask the Money Team that hes probably the water boy for.” (Via RapFix)
