?uestlove can’t seem to hold on to those combs of his. Speaking with New York Magazine, the Roots’ drummer says that despite buying a huge supply of his trademark item to tame his mighty Afro, he’s now down to a very limited supply. “I bought a massive stock, maybe like 2,000 of them,” he said. “So of those 2,000, maybe I have, like, 60 left. Because people insist on taking them. When we’re in concert and I say good-bye, then they grab it outta my hair.” He added that some of these combs have found their way onto eBay. (Via NYMag)
Snoop Dogg has secured his second acting role of the week. Following news of the rapper portraying blues singer/guitarist Fillmore Slim on a big screen biopic, Snoop is now set to star in a new sitcom on the small screen. Currently without a title, the show is said to be a multi-camera family sitcom, with Snoop slated to play the leading role of the father. The show is also without a home, though it’s being developed by Warner Bros. (Via HipHopDX)
The L.A. offices of Interscope Records are being investigated after it was discovered they were being used to ship millions of dollars of cocaine and drug money across the U.S. James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond, who is currently on trial, is said to have used road cases through Rock It Cargo to deliver the coke to New York, where it was distributed. Rosemond manages rapper Game, who is signed to Interscope, which is where the attorneys believe the connection was made. (Via AllHipHop)
Diddy is working on a book with Interscope president Jimmy Iovine and photographer Rafael Mazzucco that examines the female backside. Yep. CULO by Mazzucco will feature a collection of photographs taken by the photog of behinds he shot around the world. Diddy gave a tasteful description of the book, saying, “Raphael is a true artist. He relies on instinct – capturing a raw, natural sense of beauty through his lens in CULO by Mazzucco that celebrates the female form. His work is passionate and powerful.” The book will be available as of November 22nd and will cost you $65.
