Wayne doesn’t want to pull a Brett Favre and stay in the game past his prime. Lil Wayne has sold more than 10 million records, recorded eight solo albums (not including mixtapes), and won four Grammy Awards – sounds like a fulfilling career. So now family seems to be more important to Wayne as he says, “I have my kids; they’re wonderful. My daughter has her career ahead of her now. I have to focus on that, and I have to put the same focus that I put in my career. … I want to become a better father, I want to become a better man to my woman, and those things take time. and time takes away from this. So the honest answer to that [retirement] question is, I don’t know. Maybe so.” Read more at MTV.

What Eminem wants, Eminem gets. Interscope bought Skepta’s new track, “Dare To Dream” from his label without his knowledge. Skepta was not very pleased with how the arrangement went down but understands that the sample is Eminem’s type of beat. Skepta says, “I overly love the song but at the same time I do understand Eminem together with the ‘Dare To Dream’ chorus will be absolutely f*%king CRAZY.” Read more and hear the song at Soul Culture.

Recently Diddy stated that he would be stepping away from performing. Apparently he wants to focus on other business ventures. Diddy is set to release a new women’s perfume, Express, the female counterpart to his I Am King men’s fragrance. Read more at XXL.
