Lupe Fiasco has announced a sizable North American tour. “Generation LASER” will feature support slots by Wale, Theophilus London, Big Sean, Miguel, Tinie Tempah, Chiddy Bang, Sarah Green, Cool Kids and um, Girl Talk. T.I. has secured a deal with VH1 to produce a ten-episode series following his life outside of prison. Camera’s will shoot during Tip’s next month in a halfway house, which will air beginning December 5th. On top of that, the King will release a novel titled Power & Beauty through Harper Collins in October. (Via All Hip Hop and THR)

K’naan has been cast in a new movie also starring comedian Steve Coogan and Stephen Dorff. Directed by Nick Broomfield (Biggie & Tupac, Kurt and Courtney), The Catastrophist is an adaptation of Ronan Bennett’s bestselling book of the same name that follows a love story set against Belgian Congo’s decolonization in the 1960s.
