The good news: Curren$y dropped his new mixtape Verde Terrace today. Only two months after his last one, Weekend At Burnie’s, the MC has returned with this DJ Drama-produced, 14-track effort. The bad news: Curren$y broke his foot during a performance at Rock the Bells on Saturday. He tweeted: “Soooo I totally broke my foot jumpin off the stage to greet everyone at rock the bells… Glad I had my niggas wit me tho… Shit hurt like the fuck… Wlda cried mega crocodile tears if I was by myself haha aw (sic).” (Via Datpiff and XXL)

T.I. will be released from prison in approximately a month, and when he’s out he’ll get to work on music, but also a book. According to friend DJ Drama, “Tip’s good, we talked via email about two weeks ago. I told him I had a record for him. He should be home in a couple of weeks, he’s ready to get back to work,” he said. “I know he has a book in the works, and definitely the music, expect some good records.” (Via Hip Hop DX)

And Ludacris will perform at a very special event tonight in Los Angeles. He’ll do a set to celebrate the legendary gangster film and hip-hop favourite, Scarface. Commemorating the flick’s Blu-ray release, cast members Al Pacino, Steven Bauer, Robert Loggia, F. Murray Abraham and producer Martin Bregman will all take part in a Q&A session. (Via AllHipHop)
