DJ Pauly D talks with Billboard about how great it’s been to be on tour with Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale tour. In terms of his future plans, Pauly D is going to hit the studio with 50 Cent for an upcoming album. He says, “It’s going to be a little bit of everything, it’s almost like DJ Khaled and kind of David Guetta but my own DJ Pauly D style.” So basically a lot of fist pumping in the background. No I.D. has been named the executive Vice-President of Island Def Jam Recordings. The announcement was made at a pre-VMA bowling mixer in Hollywood. The Chicago-based producer released this statement.
I’m (now) executive VP of Def Jam. I’m going to keep on doing what I’m doing and take it to another level.Def Jam is a cultural staple. It’s not just a label, it’s part of the culture that I came up in and that I’ve been involved with for 20 years. It’s very important that the next generation of executives grab it by the horns and keep it on track as it grows.
