RapCity P.M. News Round Up: Drake Honored By Canada’s Walk of Fame

Drake is being honoured this year with the Allan Slaight Award, which goes to a young Canadian who makes a difference in the world of sports, innovation, music, literature, film, visual or performing arts in philanthropy. Additionally, Drake will be awarded a $10,000 honorarium as well as a spot on Canada’s Walk Of Fame. (Via AllHipHop)

Nearing the end of his sentence for drug possession, TI has written a letter to his fans. The rapper ends the letter saying “When I touch down, I’m going all the way back to square one, like I’m fresh in the game and never sold a record.” (Via Nah Right)

A video has surfaced of Kanye buying his other other Benz in 2002, the same day that Kanye recorded his verse on mentor Jay-Z’s album The Blue Print 2. In the video we see the car salesman tell West that the next car he needs to drive is a Maybach. Who would have thought that nine years later Kanye would have enough money to buy a Maybach just to chop it up for a music video? Actually, Kanye would have thought that. (Via NahRight)
