Read All About It

Hello September.
I’m in the middle of a read-a-thon. I was on vacation last week in L.A., and while on the beach read The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time. And yes, I’m bragging about being on vacation. Specifically about being on a beach. I rarely read fiction, but I couldn’t put this book down. My make up artist (VJ perk) Karen lent it to me. I traded her Nickel and Dimed. Read both.

And I’ve subscribed to so many mags, my mailbox is maxed out . Current subs include Rolling Stone, Paper, Bust, and EW. A most interesting read was the profile on porn star Jenna Jameson in Rolling Stone with Tom Cruise on the cover. It kinda left me feeling sorry for her.

While in the city of angels I also enjoyed the L.A. Times, with features on topics I think about like energy drinks and vegan car consumers (that was front page!). Too bad you have to register at their site. Even though it’s free, I don’t like having to hand over my info. Bad enough all the spammers seem to know how to find me.
