Recap: Jessica Lowndes & Vampire Weekend on MOD!

You know it’s a good day when both a hot TV star and an equally hot, up-in-coming band stop by these parts. This was the case on Tuesday. Talk about a power hour! Both Jessica Lowndes and Vampire Weekend stopped by the Much HQ for a chat on MOD, and I just so happened to be in the studio to snap some photos, and share some inside deets with y’all.

Although the audience wasn’t mega packed like it was for Adam Lambert or Justin Bieber, there was a decent amount of fans present, especially considering it was a Tuesday. Me, being the super VIP I am, rolled in 30 seconds before showtime and nuzzled in behind a cameraman to get the best angles possible. Not a problem for Jessica “I make a ton of different faces” Lowndes.

Jessica came out first, and talked about everything from researching her role on 90210, sneaking in studio time for her singing career and modelling at Wednesday’s “The Heart Truth” Fashion Show. In the short time she had before she was whisked away into the sunset by her manager, Jessica signed and took pictures with fans. Side note: did you know she’s only about 5’3! I always love finding out that celebrities are shorter than they look on TV. Short people holla!

Next up was the New York indie rock band Vampire Weekend. Things got a little awkward when Chris from Vampire Weekend asked Much VJ Sarah Taylor where she moved to, after she mentioned listening to their album while packing for her move! Personal, much? Probably just an attempt for conversation, as far as I’m concerned. The group talked about their new album cover, and most importantly, why the heck Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Lil’ Jon were in their new music video for Giving Up The Gun.
