Red Band Trailer for Kick-Ass 2 Released!

The red band trailer for Kick-Ass 2 was released today by Universal Pitures. This sequel to Matthew Vaughn’s 2010 adaptation of a Mark Miller and John Romita Jr. comic book is directed by Jeff Wadlow. The trailer promises a film with more over the top action sequences and R-rated humour to rival the original.

High school students Dave Lizewski (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Mindy Macready (Chloe Moretz) are continuing to secretly fight crime in the streets of New York City as their alter egos, Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl. Joining the duo this time around are Justice Forever, a team of masked crime fighters led by ex-mafia member, Colonel Stars and Stripes (Jim Carrey). Also returning is Chris D’Amico (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), who is out to avenge the death of his father, under his new identity as The Mother F*cker.

Kick-Ass 2 comes into theaters on August 16. Are you excited for this?
