Red Hot Distressed Gene

June 19th, 2008

* Gene Simmons is not liking Radiohead, NIN and Green Day right now. Oh yeah, he also hates music fans. Why I oughta…

* Janet Jackson will join forces with MTV for her own reality show to find the next big star. Ugh - how original…

* My favourite video of the day (since I’m a closet Days of Our Lives fan): The Best Man on Man Face Slap. LOLtastic.

* How can Ryan Phillippe afford a $7,175,000 mansion???

* Rachel Ray explores the epidemic that is pet obesity. (Side note: what’s going on with R-Ray’s voice? It sounds like she’s been chain smoking since the age of fetus.)

* Brad Pitt, Edward Norton and Radiohead in Milan, Italy….

* And speaking of Radiohead, check out this amazing homemade remix video for the track Nude from the In Rainbows album. It’s pretty neat-o. (Yes, I’m bring ‘neat-o’ back, ok?)

  1. Gene Simmons is brilliant and I also think he’s right.

With a money mind like his, his opinion doesn’t surprise me and in fact, should be heard and considered.

What NIN, Greenday and Radiohead offered their fans was a gift but I think we got lazy and took it too far and now musicians instead of focusing on their art are focusing on the next iPod gingle.

    I miss music.

I miss old Much Music where the art came before business.

The solution: Maynard Keenan for WORLD PRESIDENT.

    Who’s with me?

  3. i disagree but it’s late. norton as the hulk seems to be one of the worst castings i’ve seen.he’s done some great films but i don’t get this matchup. ‘wanted’ looks kind of good, i really like mcalvoy from the last king of scotland, although this film seems quite similar to the matrix

  4. Gene simmons is so full of himself

  5. @Soya - Neat-o should remain where it belongs, in history’s vaults, locked away for ever, right beside “spiffy”, “nifty” and “phat”. I’m just sayin’

  6. I agree w/ DE on casting Norton as The Hulk. Great actor.. but I think this one was a miss too. I think Rob Lowe woulda been key.

@ Senester - can you elaborate on your comment about Gene Simmons?
