It’s actually dangerous

Hilary Duff has been spending the last few months getting ready for her triumphant return to the music scene. The first single off her new album was supposed to officially be released Tuesday, July 29. But luckily for those who simply couldn’t wait a day to hear Hilary again, the song was leaked early.
The song, Chasing The Sun, isn’t what you expect for a comeback single. Instead of releasing an upbeat club banger, the former Disney star goes for a more fun and folky vibe. The song is about slowing down and enjoying enjoying life and is very chill and fun. It’s a feel good song that will make you want to lounge on the beach on a sunny day.
Although I was expecting more for Hilary’s comeback, the song is still a hit. It may not be Come Clean or So Yesterday or even With Love, but it’s still fun and the perfect way to end summer. It sounds like a cross between Sherly Crow and Colbie Caillat (which isn’t surprising since Colbie co-wrote the song), and depicts a much mature Hilary. And did no one else catch this adorable homage to her younger years? The song definitely draws upon one of Hilary’s first singles I Can’t Wait.
Hilary has been busy this weekend teasing the song. Hilary started an online campaign to have her fans build and decorate paper airplanes in support of the single. The template can be found on Hilary’s website. Make sure you post a pic of the plane and send it in to Hilary.
In another genius marketing ploy, the singer had airplanes fly across various cities in the US with a banner with the single and release date on it.
And finally, in perhaps the most adorable video ever, Hilary posted her son Luca dancing to a snippet of her song. Seriously, this is too cute.Tweet
