Rihanna is taking Chris Brown to her native Barbados over New Year. The Diamonds singer, who recently claimed she and Chris were just friends, is keen to show her friends and family how much the Turn Up the Music hit maker has changed so has booked them into a five-star villa on the island for a “bonding holiday”. Rihanna has also planned for Chris’ mother to fly out so the two sets of families can spend time together.

A source told The Sun newspaper, “The more the public criticize Rihanna for getting back with Chris, the more determined she is to do whatever she wants. “While no one else can understand it, she’s convinced that Chris is the love of her life and her soulmate and that they’re simply meant to be together. She’s booked him and his mum into a five-star villa in Barbados over New Year so they can all get some downtime with her family.”

Chris was convicted of assaulting Rihanna in February 2009 and despite people being worried for her safety, the ‘We Found Love’ singer is convinced she has done the right thing in taking him back. The source added:”They’re unrepentant and they want to show the whole world that they’ve moved on from what happened in 2009.” Chris, 23, attacked 24-year-old Rihanna the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards. He was found guilty of assault and ordered to do 1,400 hours of community service and complete a domestic violence programme. He later released a video apologizing to Rihanna.
