It’s actually dangerous

Rihanna once again proved that she is a true icon and racy rebel.
The Diamonds singer was honoured by the Council of Fashion Designers of America with the 2014 Fashion Icon award Tuesday. Rihanna lived up her fashion icon title by wearing one of her most beautiful and revealing outfits to date, which is saying a lot. Rihanna accepted her award in a full length sheer, diamond encrusted dress with matching gloves and head piece. The dress leaves little to the imagination and will literally take your breath away.
Rihanna was completely topless under the dress only wearing flesh toned underwear. The gown was designed by Adam Selman and features 200,000 Swarovski crystals.
Rihanna was presented the award by Vogue editor Anna Wintour who said that Rihanna’s mission “is to be audacious — even jaw-dropping or button-pushing.” She definitely dropped more than a few jaws.
Whether you think the dress was stunning or too revealing you have to admire Rihanna’s courage to wear what she wants and her ability to not care.
In her acceptance speech, Rihanna discussed the influence her childhood in Barbados had on her style saying that she “didn’t have a lot of access to fashion.”
“Fashion has always been my defence mechanism.” As a child Rihanna used to think “she can beat me, but she can’t beat my outfit.”
Rihanna concluded her speech by stating that “there are rules, but rules are meant to be broken.” She’s certainly broken a lot of rules and truly redefined fashion.
And like the true legend she is, Rihanna celebrated her award by twerking in her dress.
