Rihanna to air 777 documentary in May

Rihanna is readying to air her own documentary on her infamous 777 Tour that took place over seven days and seven countries last November. Rihanna and her record company came up with the marketing plan to charter a plane full of journalists, including MUCH’s own Scott Willats, to all seven tour stops in celebration of the release of her seventh album in seven years.

Rihanna instead made headlines for the lack of accessibility to the singer during the tour, which touched down in Mexico City, Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, London and New York. Proving that bad press is still press, Rihanna’s album Unapologetic hit Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 only days after the tour ended.
