Sanjaya, You’re On Fiyah

Ok, fine. I haven’t watched American Idol since season 3 but due to peer pressure on the part of some unmentioned workmates, I’m starting to follow it. Curse youses! Even if you don’t follow AI, surely to jebus you’ve heard of Sanjaya. This kid is everywhere. His image appears on my toast in the morning.

Anyway, my point is whether you like him or not, you’re gonna hear about him. He’s making girls sob, and there are campaigns to “help” him rise to the top. And, ok, he’s bad. But as Hannah says, the “power of a billion” works in his favour – he’s the first east asian contestant ever to make the finals.
