One of my father’s favorite science fiction writers, Isaac Asimov, once said, “Life is pleasant. Death is peaceful. It’s the transition that’s troublesome.” Okay - so the guy wasn’t exactly an optimist.
One of my favorite writers John Lennon once sang, “Life is what happens while you’re busy making plans.” True, very true.
However, my current favourite is one by Irish playwright, poet and author Oscar Wilde who said, “Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about.”
I’m all about reflections this spring and the timing seems fitting. We’ve finally pulled together my 2nd Annual Benefit for SickKids Hospital’s Brain Injury Critical Care Research Unit and I’m pleased to invite you to come, donate, dance and celebrate.
The details are above. Toronto’s experimental electronic/pop duo BoyTech will perform and DJ Mensa will be spinning. Generous donations for La Fête à la Tête Deux can also be made directly to SickKids at sickkidsfoundation.com/donate. Contributions over $20 receive tax receipts.
The recent sudden death of actress Natasha Richardson has offered me more opportunity for self examination, gratitute, and appreciation as my own similar experience ending up being a new beginning and in many ways a blessing in disguise.
Thanks guys

??????? WHA…………………. what is Diedre talking about? Do I have research to do or should i just………. forget it!
It was unfortuante about Natasha Richardson, my heart dropped when i heard that she had passed away based on what i heard at first it was unexpected.
What is frightening about this kind of truma is that you don’t always know the full extent of injury until a period of time after, sometimes you don’t know until it is too late.
It is good to see that you are continuing your charity work.
keep it up.
Are there any photos of the event online?

Unfortunately for Natasha Richardson, her death was absolutely a blood sacrafice.
She was a sun worshiper like the rest of the Redgrave Clan as is her husband and children will be. Her time had come to make a personal sacrafice on behalf of the blood line that gave her the high holy life she was living and she obviously would not comply so she was sacraficed on St Patricks day. This is a high holyday for devil worshipers. What was her task.. to bare a child on behalf of the royal blood line that provided her and people like her the guaranteed high lifestyles they live. The only one’s that would ever know would be the real father, her husband and others in the cult of sunworshipers that need to know. Its been done a thousand times before.. Anyway she didn’t want to do it. She thought she was too high and so she payed the price. Unbelieveable, but true.
