Even though I am actually on television I am surprisingly shy. I do believe I’ve been misjudged in the past based on that same quality, but I’m cool with it. The reason I bring it up is in light of said shyness, I’m very hesitant to draw any more attention to myself than absolutely necessary… outside my profession of course.
There are only two exceptions to that rule for me. One is Halloween, which I love more than life. (Last year I went as Sweet Lime from Wes Anderson’s Darjeeling … so fun) And the other is parties. Birthday parties, Christmas parties, theme parties. Basically any excuse to have one is good enough, and if it’s for an actual cause that’s even better. So I decided to bite the bullet, have a cocktail and persuade my friends to help me throw a benefit in support of Sick Kids Hospital Head Trauma Unit. The Superstitions will be performing, celebrity DJs will be in the house and other delightful fanfare.
If you’d like to make a small donation and swing by Tattoo Parlour tonight, we’d love to see you. This is a cause very close to my heart and I’m hoping this begins an annual event.
I hope to see you there, I’ll be the tall geeky girl standing in the back.
Thanks for your support.
