I’m not going to lie, I hated school. That’s not to say that education isn’t a vital part of our formative years, it’s just that my own experience left much to desired. I knew the day that I got kicked out of my split music/gym class at age six for wearing a hot pink body-tard it wasn’t going to be a good time. Who splits music and gym?

Anyway I got over myself (partly) and thankfully made it through. However I often enjoy a good comissery about the good old days and what better time to commiserate than right before the jolly holiday seasons???

(*woooooooooo…. hoo*)

So I’ve been spiking my soy egg nog and watching endless episodes of Summer Heights High. A show which is shot doc style (think The Office meets Ready Or Not except Australian) and follows three characters; Mr.G, a gay drama teacher, Ja’mie an exchange student from an expensive all-girls private school and Jonah, a Polynesian ADD troubled 13-year-old. The sincher is that they are ALL played by one extraodinary actor/writer named Chris Lilley. It’s one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a LONG time and you gotta check it out while you’re attempting to survive holiday madness.
