Sarah Taylor: Best New Music From 2008

One of the best parts about the new year is re-living all the best and the worst of 2008. Since I’m working on my best power of now positivity I’ll focus on the best, which for me is always an overwhelming appreciation of the year’ best in film and music.

I do, after all, work for the Nation’s Music Station so I thought I’d try to help you out with the music part. If you can tear yourself away from Perez and Kanye’s blogs long enough to search Pitchfork’s Tp 100 Tracks Of 2008 you won’t be disappointed, I promise. I’m sure you’ll find lots of your favourites as well as some new gold.

I’m in love with this band from Sweden and you will be too. They are called Love Is All and the track is Wishing Well. It’s a new year people!! I hope you feel about a fresh start the same way this song makes me feel. Jovial, playful and hopeful.

  3. Sarah your kidding right???!!!

No Offence intended S.T. but either the instrumentals are a lil too much or the vocalist has the voice of a grandmother, but that song is kinda odd….. (and i’m very open minded about music). …. But dispite my privious statement i kinda like the song now that i think about it and i can’t explain why. I think its because i can see that the artists are actually putting some soul into there music. though i can’t say for sure.

    ??!!!???!!? ok nice pick still.

    Peace.

  4. Love Is All are an awesome band! The version of “Wishing Well” that Sarah linked to is an acoustic version they performed on the streets of Oslo (I think) - check out the studio version of the song below:
