Sarah Taylor’s Date With Katy Perry

Here are a few reasons why Katy Perry is the best Valentine’s Day Date ever:
- She’s a celebrity, so that somehow translates into her being the cheapest date ever! Turns out the more famous (and therefore wealthy) you become, the more you exclusive, free stuff you get! (thanks Katy…). We visited the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas where we were led into a secret passageway taking us up to a series of elevators where we were treated to the world’s highest ride (and possibly most terrifying) with a 900 foot drop to the strip. AAAGHH!
- She is newly single so perhaps felt my pain about the dullness and sadness of everyone’s favourite Hallmark holiday. Many chocolates were eaten.
- She knows how to party - Vegas style. Miss Perry put on an energetic show at Wasted Space at the Hard Rock Casino/Hotel…the best part? When she dedicated a song to her Canadian fans and her 88 year-old grandmother who was AT THE SHOW!
- She was sweet and candid about things she loves. Fast food, pastels, Marc Jacobs, Queen and vintage clothing. She even directed me to her favourite vintage spot in Vegas.
- She kissed a girl and she liked it! That’s right, we totally made out.
That last part was totally a lie, Katy is very much a lady.
