Say goodbye to Snoop Dogg: Snoop Lion is here to stay

Snoop Dogg has finally evolved…into Snoop Lion. The rapper, who recently came out with a new reggae project, claims that he’s done with the rapping and wants to focus on a career in raggae.

The legendary rap icon wants to make it clear that he doesn’t want Snoop Lion to be “Snoop Dogg in a reggae track.” Instead, he “want[s] to bury Snoop Dogg and become Snoop Lion.

“Rap is not a challenge to me. I had enough of that. It’s not appealing to me no more. I don’t have no challenges…I’m ‘Uncle Snoop’ in rap. When you get to be an uncle, you need to find a new profession so you can start over and be fresh again.”
