Selena Gomez Talks About Stress Of Last Relationship

Usually there’s always something to gain from a bad experience. But Selena Gomez admits that she wasted a year of her life on an ex-boyfriend. The pop singer says that her last relationship involved sneaking around a lot to adhere to her ex-boyfriend’s standards in the press.

“I was in a relationship previously where I had to hide everything and it wasn’t my choice,” says the 19-year-old, who had relationships with Taylor Lautner and Nick Jonas. “I had to go through different exits and take separate cars and do the craziest things, and it just really wasn’t worth it. It was like a year of my life completely wasted.”

Gomez is presently dating Justin Bieber, and says that it’s a much better situation. “I’m just like every 19-year-old girl. You just want to go to the movies, hang out, and be as normal as possible. I’m fortunate that I’ve found someone who has that philosophy.”
