Selena Gomez’s Spring Breakers role might “a little shocking”

Selena Gomez’s new role in the movie, Spring Breakers, isn’t going to be for everyone — especially not her younger fans.

Gomez, who is best known for her Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place, plays a college student who robs a fast food place with her three friends in order to pay for spring break. The actress/singer admits that this film might come off as “a little shocking for her young fans, but adds that “I think this was right for me.”

Spring Breakers also stars Vanessa Hudgens, Pretty Little Liars‘ Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine, diretor Harmony Korine’s wife. The movie will be released next year.
