September 28, 1972… that’s when dear old (?) Gwyneth was born. That makes her older than me but I’ll let you grrls pull eachothers hair out about it on your own time ;)

As for road games as a child one of my favorites was “sleep til the next truck stop“. Now as an adult…. and doing much longer road trips such as my most recent one moving back to Toronto from Los Angeles via “truck-loaded-with-everything-you-own“, I found my self quite often playing “was that a dragon that just flew in front of the car or should I stop at the next motel”. That and “laugh myself to pee singing along to the D“. The first one wasn’t really a hit with the girlfriend… you know, it being 3am and we’re 200 miles into the desert with no towns in sight. However the latter seemed to rejuvenate the drive everytime.

And speaking of road trips, I’m now on the hunt for an ’80′s model Shorty van. It will be a tiki van and it will sport the necessary options; bed in back, fold out tiki torches and a giant antenna topped with a racoon tail (faux of course). This puppy will see A LOT of road and that’s a promise.
