Watch Sunday, April 13
Miley, Charlie and more!
January 13th, 2014
The 2014 Golden Globes gave us a list of memorable moments last night (check them out here), but one of my faves was undoubtedly the win by Andy Samberg. Not only was this a great moment because I stan hard for Samberg, but it was also great because of the presenter.
Seth Meyers was tasked with handing out the Globe to his friend and former SNL co-star Samberg, and it’s difficult to tell who’s more excited about the win.
Anytime award shows match presenters and winners to up the emotional high I’m thankful. What’s a good awards show when you can’t ping pong back and forth between crying into your oversized bowl of popcorn when your favourite actor wins and throwing said popcorn at the TV when an obvious robbing of awards occurs? Here is a look at last night’s lovefest with Samberg and Meyers as well as a few other fave presenter/winner moments.

Best. Night. Ever.
Kaley Cuoco and Jim Parsons at the 2011 Golden Globes
In case you can’t tell, Kaley is on the show with Jim.
Dionne Warwick and Whitney Houston at the 1986 Grammys
Warwick couldn’t contain her excitement when she got the chance to give her cousin Whitney Houston a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance of the Year. Her excitement was almost, just almost, as big as Whitney’s hair in 1986.
Halle Berry and Adrien Brody at the 2003 Oscars
Sure, Halle Berry may not have been overly excited for Adrien Brody when she first announced his name at the 2003 Oscars, but I bet she was happy about it afterwards.
Susan Lucci and Shemar Moore at the 1999 Emmys
It took Susan Lucci an incredible 19 nominations before she finally won a Daytime Emmy for her role as Erica Kane on All My Children. Thankfully, presenter Shemar Moore was well aware of Lucci’s incredible run of bad luck and gave her announcement the gusto it so deserved.
